CHRISTMAS: December 25th DOES have a Biblical foundation! CHECK IT OUT!
by Lady Liberty inmy mother and i were talking about christmas being in december, and how the christians felt it was truely a victory to have christ jesus birth still celebrated, unlike the pagan sun god that was celebrated by the pagans at the same time.
we got to talking and realized that if you count backwards from when scholars really feel jesus was most likely really born (in september), and count back 280 days of pregnancy, it would actually be late december!!!
could it be that the birthday was from the date of conception, not delivery???

Puke Alert! Today's Daily Text.....
by AK - Jeff inmonday, december 18. .
moseswasbyfarthemeekestofallthemenwhowereuponthesurfaceoftheground.num.12:3.. among the many bible examples that highlight how humble people are favored with a glimpse of gods glory is moses, who enjoyed an intimate relationship with god.
this humble man, who spent 40 years as a lowly shepherd, likely much of it on the arabian peninsula, was highly favored by the creator in many ways.

2 Pet. 3:10 "earth and the works in it will be discovered"?? or burned up?
by M.J. inhere's the nwt rendering of the verse:.
(2 peter 3:10) 10 yet jehovahs day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.. other translations say the earth will "burn up".. nkj: but the day of the lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.. ylt: and it will come -- the day of the lord -- as a thief in the night, in which the heavens with a rushing noise will pass away, and the elements with burning heat be dissolved, and earth and the works in it shall be burnt up.. same goes for every other translation i've found.. the word in question, katakaio according to the lexicons i've seen only point to the meaning of: burn & consume by fire.. where did the nwt get "discovered" from?.

James 4:5 -- A Quote From a Lost Apocryphal Scripture
by Leolaia inin defense of its fundamentalist approach to the bible and especially its belief that the bible is the word of god and inerrent, the wts frequently quotes from 2 timothy 3:16: "all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness".
we must've heard this scripture thousands of times as witnesses.
the words from eldad and modad quoted in hermas, vis.

Overpopulation in the "Paradise" Earth!
by Leolaia injw doctrine teaches that the 1,000 years of christ corresponds to "judgment day," and everyone who has not already been judged will be resurrected from the dead.
the exceptions would be those who died during the flood, the destruction of sodom and gomorrah, and a few odd individuals.
but that's only the people living today.
